The filling of high-purity helium gas requires strict compliance with the high-purity gas filling process regulations and safety operation procedures.
1. High-purity inflation operators need to wear protective equipment that meets the requirements when working. Before operation, check the filling equipment. Pipes. Valves. Instruments. Are the instruments and tools complete? Intact. Is it safe? Sensitive. Stable.
2. The safety conditions of various gas cylinders may change, even adversely, as they contain different working media and are subjected to pressure in different environments. To ensure safety, it is necessary to conduct regular technical inspections and evaluations of various in-service gas cylinders strictly in accordance with the prescribed time and content. Before each inflation, it is necessary to confirm that the high-purity helium gas cylinder has passed the inspection.
3. Enhance the level of equipment maintenance and fail to determine the “usable” level of the equipment. Due to the poor quality and maintenance of the compressors, the quality of the compressed air produced by our unit has long failed to meet the standards. However, it has always been content with the gas pressure meeting the standards, neglecting the qualification of gas quality. The oil-water separator and dryer have not been maintained or replaced for a long time, resulting in water loss. The decline in oil removal capacity and the intensification of gas cylinder corrosion have buried potential future accident hazards.
4. Strengthen personnel training, organize technical backbones, who are senior comrades with certain practical experience, summarize experiences and lessons, continuously accumulate good working methods, implement equipment operation procedures and safety systems, avoid equipment damage or loss due to weak personnel skills, and prevent serious accidents.
5. When operating the valve, the operator should stand to its side, proceed slowly, and open or close it at one time, but not too tightly to avoid generating excessive frictional heat or static electricity due to gas flow impact, which may cause the flammable gas or oxidizing gas cylinder to catch fire and explode. If too much force is applied, the valve body thread will be damaged.
6. Starting from the inflation with high-purity helium gas, the change in pressure should be observed. When the pressure rises to one-third of the charging pressure, the operator should test the bottle temperature and deal with the leakage. If any abnormality is found, it should be dealt with promptly to ensure that the gas cylinder is filled normally until it is fully filled. During the inspection process, if it is found that some gas cylinders are not filled with gas (touching the cylinder wall by hand without heating) or are leaking gas, they should be dealt with promptly. When there is no air intake, check whether the cylinder valve is open. When there is a gas leak, the leak should be dealt with. However, when the pressure exceeds 10 MPa or if it is not convenient to handle, after the high-purity helium in the gas cylinder is filled, the filling valve and the cylinder valve should be closed. Besides the temperature, it is also necessary to pay attention to monitoring whether there are any abnormal sounds inside the cylinder and check whether the cylinder valve seal is good.
