At 9:00 AM Beijing time on January 22, the Yunmeng County Public Security Bureau conducted a legal knowledge publicity campaign with the theme of “protecting companies and ensuring safe business operations.” This initiative aimed to further promote the “one police officer per enterprise” service mechanism, effectively improve enterprises’ security and prevention capabilities, fully guarantee the safety management of enterprises within its jurisdiction, provide users with safety protection guidelines, and build a multi-layered defense for safe production and public security before the Spring Festival.
Hubei Newradar Electronic Gas Co., Ltd., a key enterprise in the jurisdiction, mainly engages in the wholesale and retail of electronic gases and has high requirements for testing standards in its production and operation. During the outreach program, the resident police officers, focusing on the company’s actual needs, selected five key aspects of “classic cases”: laws and regulations related to “production safety, fire safety, traffic safety, anti-fraud safety, and anti-theft safety,” and provided brief explanations in an interactive Q&A format. Regarding production safety, considering the characteristics of the electronic gas industry, they closely monitored storage and transportation, equipment operating procedures, and emergency response processes, introducing safety accident cases from similar companies to illustrate and warn against such incidents.
Addressing the high incidence of telecommunications fraud at the end of the year and the beginning of the new year, they highlighted common scams targeting company accountants, such as “impersonating leaders to transfer money,” fraudulent contracts, and new tricks used by employees, such as “credit card rebates” and “financial accounting” scams. The resident police officers integrated typical cases of fraud involving enterprises, dismantling the criminal tactics of fraudsters, emphasizing “ten common-sense tips” for preventing telecommunications fraud, and focusing on protecting the company’s and employees’ wallets. During the anti-theft and security phase, practical suggestions such as “installing intelligent monitoring and standardizing material management” were proposed based on key areas like the company’s warehouse and finance office, promoting the establishment of an internal security network within the company.
After attending the lecture, General Manager Weng of Hubei Newradar Electronic Gas Co., Ltd. said, “This publicity was very timely. All five security aspects resonated with everyone and are very helpful for our daily operations!” The Public Security Bureau’s precise “one company, one police officer” service gave the company peace of mind before the Spring Festival. At the event, the police also distributed over 100 security brochures, anti-fraud and anti-theft leaflets to company employees and conducted inspections inside and outside the company, focusing on key areas such as the company’s hazardous chemical warehouse and production lines, carefully checking fire-fighting equipment and potential safety hazards. After the publicity event, the police and the company established a WeChat communication group on-site.
